The Akriti-rūpa Of Yantras
Mystic Yantras embody three principles: form (Akriti-
rūpa), function (Kriyā-rūpa), and power (Śakti-rūpa).
Yantras are regarded as revealing the underlying basis
of the forms found throughout the universe.
Just as all matter ultimately emerges from quantum
fields and their excitations, each visible form can be
viewed through its subtle yantra-structure.
In the same way that scientists interpret the world
through simple, orderly atomic structures in which
basic shapes appear in unified patterns,
Indian shilpi-yogins (ritual artists) identified the
universe’s innermost structure and translated them into
form-equations (Yantras) through yogic perception.
In its broadest application, Akriti-rūpa refers to the
inner form present in every structure, from atom to
star, each bearing its own yantra-like pattern
